Here’s to the everyday mining heroes

A few days after civil unrest decimated parts of South Africa, citizens from all walks of life came together in their numbers to clean up the streets in a show of unity and resilience. After the disturbing scenes of looting and violence, it is indeed heart-warming to know that there are many good Samaritans out there that want to see our country rebuild again.

Similarly, in the mining sector there are those individuals and companies who are making significant contributions to the betterment of life on the continent on a daily basis. Whether it is through financial contributions to countries and communities, protecting the environment or socio-economic development initiatives, oftentimes their deeds go unnoticed.

That’s why the 2022 Mining Elites in Africa yearbook will pay tribute to those who are making a tangible difference in mining on the continent. You too can also publicly acknowledge those companies, projects and individuals whose efforts contribute towards a better life for all.

Simply click here to nominate those that you think are worthy of this prestigious accolade.

In addition, the 2022 Mining Elites in Africa winners will honoured at the Africa Mining Forum taking place from 2-4 November.

Nominations close on 15 September. For more information visit https://www.miningreview.com/mining-elites-in-africa/
